The granit du Tarn Silverstar has been used for producing of megaliths suporting the roof of the building and the footbridges.
Once debited in quarry, blocks of granit have been set to size in the diamond monothread.
In total, 800 m3 were dehuered in three months. This volume represents 123 megaliths of a section of 1.20 m x 0.90 m thus 90 megaliths of 8 m x 1.20 x 0.90 m.
Each block had his well defined location.
For their implementation, the blocks were positioned thanks to a mobile crane, directly on their respective base. Besides their esthetic side, the megaliths have also a function of drilled walls for the roof and the footbridges.
The school has been inaugurated in September 2013 in the presence of many elected.
The establishement, at very high energetics performances, will welcome at term a total of 1 200 students.
